By Air

Manchester: Manchester Airport is served daily by flights connecting it with most domestic and European destinations. National services such as British Airways, as well as “low-cost” companies such as Ryanair and Easyjet provide regular services to Manchester Airport. A train service connects the airport’s terminals with Sheffield Train Station, making your transfer from the airport to Sheffield as easy as it could possibly be! A one-way ticket from the airport to Sheffield is usually £8 per person if booked online, services run with an average frequency of one train per hour.

London: London Airports (Gatwick, Heathrow, Luton and Stansted) are served daily by flights connecting London with domestic, European and non-European destinations. Nearly all airlines provide connections to and from London, including “low-cost” companies such as Ryanair and Easyjet. Domestic travel: Sheffield train station is connected by regular services to London, Manchester and other major UK cities and regional towns. Train companies that call at Sheffield include East Midlands Trains, Northern, Transpennine Express and CrossCountry. Travel time is around 40 minutes from Manchester, and 2 hours from London. Ticket prices can vary greatly according to the time of booking, but start at approximately £10 and £25 respectively for a one-way single, and there is usually at least 1 train per hour.

International travel: EuroStar trains connect London St. Pancras station with several European destinations. Passengers arriving at London St. Pancras can then connect to Sheffield with EastMidlands Trains which runs the London - Sheffield service.

By Coach

Domestic travel: Sheffield Interchange is connected by NationalExpress to London and several other cities in the UK. From London, services usually run from 6AM to 11PM and prices ranging from £5 to £25 per person. The average journey from London takes between 3.5 and 4.5 hours and there is usually at least 1 coach per hour. Passengers can also travel using MegaBus to Sheffield's Meadowhall station, although this also requires an additional short tram or bus ride from there to the city centre. Coach tickets usually cost less than the trains.

International travel: EuroLines services connect London Victoria station with several European destinations. Passengers arriving at London Victoria can then connect to Sheffield with National Express coaches which run the London - Sheffield service.
